People Made World

Nature made the fields and man the cities
— Quote Source – Marcus Terentius Varro

No species has had quite so a dramatic impact on the world as human kind, unfortunately not all good. We need to amend our relationship with the world, and to start to conserve the finite and precious resources that we are so casually frittering away, so it can not just be enjoyed now, but so that it can be shared with future generations, as well as those living in what may well turn out to be the halcyon days of not just travel - but life. I hope future generations will judge us kindly, but I fear that this may not be the case.

We owe it not just to the future of humankind, but also to all the other inhabitants of this amazing planet of ours, be it human, flora or fauna, macro or micro biology, the great whales, the beasts of the African plains, and the many inhabitants of tropical, cloud & boreal forests, the biomes; to tread lightly, conserve and to practice constraint, humility, and above all respect for all living organisms, and provide help and support for those who do not have a voice, but those that desperately need one, the biomes, forests, the oceans, the animals and plants that WE are so fortunate to share this diverse and rich planet with.

What will our legacy be?

Pollution - war - famine - drought - destruction - over breeding, deforestation and disaster, or to create a sustainable and thriving world of glittering structures, resplendent in all the glory that humans have to offer, so that we can share not just with our fellow man and womankind, but ultimately with Mother Nature herself.

Let’s hope and work towards a better life for all.
