What We Do?
The Museum of Travel is a privately funded boutique museum dedicated to travel, adventure and exploration.
Our Mission and What we are?
The Museum of Travel is a social ethnographical museum with a natural history and environmental overlay. People, nature and geography and how we interact with it. Our mission is to provide for the public enjoyment, education and the furthering of knowledge of contemporary travel, adventure and exploration from the 1960’s to current day, with a nod to the great explorers of the past, through stories, videos, photographs and physical artefacts which bring to life the planet and it’s inhabitants, people, wildlife, and the amazing biodiversity and geography which is planet earth.
We are not intended to be a static museum focused on one point in history or time, but rather a museum that will evolve and change as travel, and the planet dictate.
“The Travel Museum has one of the most diverse and interesting collections of travel related memorabilia I’ve ever seen.”
